This project involved the expansion of an existing bungalow in a conservation area. The team extended the structure both upwards and outwards, resulting in the creation of a range of new spaces spanning an impressive 200m². These additional spaces now serve as a gym, study, and an extra bedroom, significantly enhancing the living area for the occupants.
The design incorporates a fully accessible layout, featuring a carefully integrated lift that facilitates smooth transitions between floors for the entire family. Furthermore, the inclusion of accessible bathrooms and well-thought-out circulation spaces ensures that the living environment is not only functional but also inclusive and accommodating.
This project exemplifies the team's dedication to delivering innovative architectural solutions and underscores their commitment to excellence.
This 19th century, red brick Victorian house wasn’t always a desirable family home. The occupants, in the early days of it’s use, were not here to enjoy the roaring fire and cosy interior but were instead locked up in small cells as punishment for their crimes. Evidence of these cells are still present today, but the team looked to integrate these unique spaces into a luxury modern home.
This single storey extension creates a large living space at the rear, with terrace that captures the morning sun for a harmonious start to the day. The design seeks to retain the Victorian style by matching the weathered existing brick work to ensure the heritage of the building is retained.
Here the team embarks on the journey of transforming a substantial, unused building into something truly exceptional. Their vision is to create bespoke luxury flats designed with meticulous care, tailored for individuals aged 50 and above.
The commitment to accessibility takes center stage, ensuring that every corner of these flats is accommodating and user-friendly. Each space is generously proportioned, acknowledging the need for comfort and convenience. However, it’s the choice of materials that elevates these flats, where every touch and every sight exudes opulence.
This project is not just about repurposing a structure; it’s about crafting homes that reflect a lifetime of experiences.
This particular undertaking involved the conversion of a Grade II listed building into six residential apartments, nestled in the historic market town of Barnard Castle. The team executed a roof replacement using a modern method of prefabricated modular construction. This innovative approach involved the precision craning in of pre-finished roof segments, ultimately resulting in the creation of two exquisite loft apartments. This approach dramatically expedited the construction process.
This project is a testament to the team's commitment to excellence and their relentless pursuit of innovation in the field of design and construction.
